Yellow Bird got her name from the yellow puppy collar she wore.  She was from the first of 2 "magic" litters, which produced a total of eleven champions.

Yellow Bird seemed special from the start, and indeed she was, finishing her championship with three 5-point major wins at specialty shows.

Handled exclusively by Peggy Rousch, the tall, sound, smooth-moving bitch went on to   a remarkable specials career.  Yellow Bird ranked on the top-ten Weimaraner list in 1976, 1977 and 1978 (1, 2, 9).  On July 31, 1976, Yellow Bird became the breed's second best-in-show bitch, taking top honors at the Penn Ridge Kennel Club show.   She also won the Weimaraner Club of America's National Specialty Show in 1976 and 1977.

The mating of Yellow Bird to CH Sir Eric von Sieben, BROM produced the breed's first litter from best-in-show winners, and their sons-CH Ann's Magic v.d. Reiteralm, BROM and CH Reiteralm's Rio Fonte Saudade, NRD, BROM-are among the breed's top producing sires.  Yellow Bird is herself the dam of ten champions.
